LOCAL & GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
At key stage 3 pupils explore four key themes; Diversity and Inclusion, Equality and Social Justice, Democracy and Active Participation and Human Rights and Social Responsibility. Work at key stage 4 builds on the learning the pupils have developed. The methodologies used throughout are aimed at increasing pupil participation in the class, taking increasing responsibility for their own learning and in the life of the school. Key stage 4 ends by asking the pupils to consider their own participation in addressing issues explored locally and globally and to recognise they can make a difference.
