FRENCH & EUROPEAN STUDIES
Language includes the elements of reading, writing, speaking and listening but emphasis is placed on active participation and learning takes place through the medium of games, song and fun activities.
Year 8 – 10 BELB accreditation includes exchange of personal information and topics such as:
- Weather
- Food
- Body parts
- Clothes
- Pets and animals
- Numbers
- Family
- Transport
- Colours
Year 11 AQA modules. Introduction of Welcome Europe – a recognised qualification for the service industry.
European studies – our aim is that young people will gain an understanding of other cultures and how we function as a part of Europe. Agreed projects are exchanged with our 5 linked schools. Young people can enter competitions within the programme.
Paris Trip – The school has taken a number of pupils away on 5 day trips to Eurodisney and the city of Paris.
