PHYSICAL EDUCATION
The PE programme aims to promote and develop a range of physical skills and specific techniques as appropriate to the needs of our pupils. It also has a strong focus on the promotion of opportunities for pupils to develop thinking skills and personal capabilities. Pupils across the Key Stages sample a variety of games, fitness, dance, floor gymnastics, athletics and swimming. Indoor bowls, boccia and new age kurling are also encouraged.
There is the opportunity for pupils to become involved in interschools competitions in badminton, football, swimming and athletics. Participation in a day of dance is also possible. Opportunities to participate in new age kurling, ten pin bowling and indoor athletics are other exciting competitions organised.
An end of year 'sports day' held at the Antrim Forum brings our sporting calendar to a close. This is organised by ability as opposed to age, so every pupil may participate, in all events, with a maximised chance of achieving success.
