SCIENCE

Science is taught to all classes in the Secondary Department.

Key Stage 3

The pupils in Year 8 begin by realising the importance of safety in Science and then develop skills in using the different apparatus.

The course followed for Key Stage 3 covers the Attainment Targets set in the National Curriculum:

  • Exploring and Investigating in Science
  • Living Things
  • Materials
  • Forces and Energy

This content of this course is under review in light of the changes introduced in the Revised Curriculum.

Key Stage 4

All pupils have the opportunity of sitting an Entry Level Certificate in Science.
